The Apple of God's Eye

I am not shocked by the intense hatred across the world for the Jewish people because the prophet Zechariah describes Jerusalem being a "cup that causes staggering to all the peoples around," and "It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will injure themselves severely. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it."

I am not shocked, but I am appalled to watch people cry out "Gas the Jews!" Anyone who comes against the Jewish people, comes against the "apple of God's eye." Don't think they won't suffer in the end.

God made covenants with Abraham which were unconditional and forever. One of them is this:

"I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you."

The first anti-Semitic nation was ancient Egypt. They literally employed genocide against the Jews by drowning their newborn sons.

God always "pays back" in kind. As the Egyptian army chased His people, God drowned the Egyptian army.

When the people of Israel were captive under King Ahasuerus, an evil man, Haman, tried to destroy all of the Jews in the kingdom.

Because God always "pays back" in kind, Haman was hung on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai, the Jew evil Haman hated the most.

The Spanish persecuted the Jewish people terribly. Under the reign of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, the people were tortured and killed. In 1492, the King and Queen made a decree that every Jewish person had to leave Spain. They expelled the Jewish bankers, doctors and scholars. The Spanish soldiers would take whole families of Jews tied together out to a sandbar and leave them to drown in the water as the tide came in unless they converted to Catholicism.

Spain's economy fell apart and their great Armada was destroyed in the ocean off of the coast of France.

God blesses those who bless Israel, and He curses those who curse Israel.

In 1867, God blessed an American writer, a skeptic, because he blessed Israel by writing a book, Innocents Abroad, a book about Twain's travels. One of the places he visited was Palestine. In Innocents Abroad, Twain actually fulfilled a prophecy Moses made thousands of years before! His description of the condition of the Holy Land was such that Jews in Europe woke up and decided to go back to the land. God was fulfilling Bible prophecy through the American, and bringing His people back to the covenantal land He promised to Abraham and his decendants.

How was Mark Twain blessed for his part in the return of the Jewish people to the land? He became an international best selling author!

God blesses those who bless Israel.

In more recent history, actual Nazis did try to kill all of the Jews. The Holocaust was the most brutal, evil and arguably the worst thing that has happend to the Jewish people up to this day.

As nation after nation fell to the German armies, the Jews were taken and put into slums in major cities. Concrete walls were built around the slums, sealing the Jews in to slowly starve to death. Six million Jewish people were murdered by the Nazis.

In six years, the Germans were conquered. Then a concrete wall was built dividing Berlin into two parts. The people were separated for a generation. To this day, Nazis are still hunted down.

God blesses those who bless Israel.

God curses those who curse Israel.

The nations may rage and call for the destruction of the Jews. Evil butchers may kill, rape and commit demonic acts of violence, but God! His promises made long ago to Abraham still stand.

He will bless those who bless Israel.

He will curse those who curse Israel.

Do not be deceived. There is no way to destroy the Jews.

How will this all end? The Bible says that judgment is coming upon those who dwell on the Earth. The whole blessing and cursing covenant will still be in effect and at the end of the Tribulation, the Gentiles will be judged by how they treated the Jewish people.

The Son of Man, Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, will judge the nations after the Tribulation.

Those who bless Israel will enter into the Millennial Reign. Those who curse Israel will go away into eternal punishment.

Matthew 25:21-46
