I was listening to podcasts yesterday while running errands. So many people are relieved due to the outcome of the elections. There is lots of excitement among half of the US population. In the words of L.A. Marzulli, "Not so fast, Citizen!"
Listen, while folks may feel like things are going to get better, there are powers and forces in this world that know the Tribulation is near, and they are busy setting up the kingdom of Antichrist. Despite the election, those forces are still at work.
When Jesus' disciples asked Him when the end of the age would be, He gave some signs of the last days times that would develop, but that the start of birth pangs would be a world wide war. That happened in 1914. Israel became a nation in 1948, just as the Bible predicted, "In one day." Seventy-six years ago. That was the major sign of the times!
One of the things the prophet Zechariah foretold was that God would make Jerusalem a "heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it."
That is where we are on the prophetic timeline. Look at the hatred around the world for the Jewish people! There was an actual pogrom in Amsterdam. The main stream media and Google are shaping and propping up a lying narrative against Israel. I googled a query about the number of missiles the Iranian regime launched at the tiny country. The first few pages were all headlines about Israel bombing Iran. I had to use "Yandex" to find the information.
I don't think the election stopped the birth pangs, or even put them on hold. I am not setting dates, but I believe we are on the cusp of seeing our blessed hope! Listen to this prophecy from 1 Thessalonians 5:3:
"While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pangs upon a woman with child, and they will not escape."
Read Psalm 2. While mankind seeks to live without the restraints God has set forth, God laughs. He will take back this world. Jesus, the Anointed Son of God will rule this world from Jerusalem.
You can try to fight God, but you will never win. Checkmate!
As I was reflecting on the outcome of the US elections several days later, the word that came was "Reprieve." The Sovereign Lord God Almighty has given this nation a Reprieve from His Judgment. In His mercy, He has inserted an Opportunity, in our free-fall descent into Depravity and Darkness, to consider our ways. The Question to ask ourselves is:"What are we going to do with this God-given Reprieve?" We, Christians; We, the Nation.
The Call to Repentance continues to go out. Are we listening? Will we respond to it?
To what end do we 'want to make America great again?' Is it to continue to be Self-indulgent? Gluttonous? Greedy? Materialistic? Idolatrous?
